Launching Ahorrito - Personal Finances
A few months ago, I decided to take a vacation. I had not taken a formal break from my jobs for a long time. I used this time to work on things that made me feel happy and excited again. I left behind User Stories, Sprints, and long meetings. I wanted to focus on learning something new and creating something that represented a part of me.
After thinking about an idea for many months, I finally decided to start working. I began to build this tool that I had wanted to create for a long time: Ahorrito.
What is Ahorrito?
Ahorrito is a mobile app that will help you take control of your personal finances. It is not just another expense app. It is the tool I needed to understand where my money was going, without complications and with total privacy.
Designed natively for iOS, Ahorrito combines a clean and modern interface with the power of the latest Apple technologies.

Smart Receipt Scanning 📸: Forget about entering every coffee manually. With the Vision Framework integration, simply point your camera at the receipt, and Ahorrito will automatically detect the total. Magic!
Budgets that Work 📉: Set limits for your categories (Food, Transport, Entertainment) and get friendly alerts when you are getting close to the limit. It is the best way to avoid surprises at the end of the month.
Savings Goals 🎯: Do you want that new gadget or a vacation? Create a goal, add contributions, and see your progress. Watching the progress bar fill up is the best motivation.
Privacy First 🔒: Your data is yours. Ahorrito uses iCloud to sync your information between devices. There are no third-party servers, no complicated accounts, and no selling of data. Everything stays between you and your cloud.

Creating this app was a journey back to basics: programming for the joy of creating. I wanted something that felt native, fast, and respectful to the user. Just you and your finances, in harmony.
